Katherine Heigl reveals that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how this experience impacted the way she raised adopted multiracial kids. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" spoke to an interviewer that it did not matter what color her skin was for her. But after having a conversation with her adopted Korean American older sister, she realised the distinction between how others treated her and her. "I wanted to know Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and the times she was out alone. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." She admitted that she was angry however she was also aware of it was necessary to use her anger to help her children. Heigl has a son who is 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight and Black and was adopted in 2012.
