Jenna Fischer's most well-known character is Pam Beesly in the highly popular television show The Office. The actress won two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in an ensemble comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched as her mother Anne was in the church stage. Her love for performance and theatre was cultivated when she was a teenager.
Fischer was a stage actress who was trained in her home country. In Off-Broadway's play Reasons To Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer starred. After starring in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she performed in the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey started an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has been a huge success, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life A Survival Guide in which she describes her journey to Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends that Were There a memoir of the best friendship they had and their experiences in The Office.
